Why finish your Anchor Hitch on a Bight ?

The Anchor Hitch is a super knot which tightens on itself when load is applied. It is really simple to tie, all you need is two round turns. One over the top of the item you are securing your rope to and the second one on top of the first.

The Anchor hitch will tighten on it self making it hard to undo after load has been applied, making it a great option for permanently securing your rope to an object.

Adding the bight when you finish the anchor hitch makes it a lot easier to undo. The additional width of rope used to finish it with the bight is easy pulled out via the tail of the rope.
