What a great idea for a series, Mandy! I love it! I usually extend kits for at least two weeks, I don’t usually use the same one two weeks in a row, but I’ll use part of a kit with the intention of saving the other part for another week and I supplement with stickers in my collection that I’ve budgeted for and buy with sales and codes. I love that you’re sharing this type of content!

I love this idea. I can’t afford a new kit each week so I often plan leftovers weeks where I just mix everything up. Thanks for acknowledging the reality that not everyone can buy new kits for every week of the year.

A great idea for a series! One thing I personally do I often buy just fullboxes & some half- and quarterboxes, and use my own washitapes with them, and some icons I have bought during the years. Sometimes I make the fullboxes out of washi too, it takes a bit more time but can be fun :)

Great idea! I have leftovers from kits.I think after being in the planner community for years, I’ve learned to be more frugal really waiting for a sale, or buy as needed. When I started I really went sticker crazy! I can know accept it is an expensive hobby! Mandy, I would love to see how you make your planner pockets .

This is a great idea. I think USA shops are particularly expensive for kits, very often I see 4 sheet mini kits for 15 dollars and I think wow! I would pay that for a really nice full kit here in the UK.

I like this idea.

I'm not really a kit planner, so I have never bought kits from etsy. My cost saving advice for those who dig the Happy Planner vibe is to not buy every sticker book they make. Pick one of their bigger books which contains every type of sticker you might need and buy it from Michael's with a 40 or 50 percent off coupon. You could certainly stretch out one of the bigger books to last a very long time.

Clearance sales are a great way to add to your planner supplies. Also look around before buying. I found a great deal on Tombow markers on Amazon.

It is possible to decorative plan on a budget. My advice for new planners is do what makes financial sense for you and don't get sucked into buying every shiny new thing that comes along.
