yes but you see the people who do good because of religion would have done good even if they had been atheist, because the bible is the big book of multiple choice, everybody understands it the way it suits their lifestyle. In the times of slavery the bible was used to justify slavery. Just read the lwas deuteronomy has on slavery.
Bottomline is if you can be evil and religious and also be good and religious, religion has nothing to do with it
