Great Rider Insight of the New Specialized Tarmac SL8 I Plus My First View Impressions.

I have finally laid eyes on the new SL8. And while Im not the one riding it, I have gotten some great insight from the man who is. Is it living up the hype? And what are my first thoughts about this bike after seeing it close up for the first time?

I think you will find this a more refreshing first look at a type of product that is often only shown through the lens of sales literature. This is some real honest chat about what should be worked out a few rides into a new bike. And there is certainly deeper conversation to be had about this in a few months time.

Cool vid. I ride a 21' Roubaix Sport and have been thinking of upgrading to a Tarmac SL7 expert with Di2 since they've dropped in price. I would probably ride it with 32mm tires since the roads are rough where I live. I'm sure I'll eventually get an SL8 though lol.

What's up bro..I love that 2021 silver color on the SL7..it looks amazing in person..in my opinion it looks better than any of the new SL8 colors ..I was so close to getting that color in the 2021 expert version but I got a good deal on a 2021 SL7 s-works frame build w Ultegra di2 12 speed and CLX wheels at the time..I love the tarmac SL7 so much that its my 3rd one..I went from a red 2021 version to a chameleon green color to now the laguna blue and black with yellow stripes..lol..im not in a rush to run out to purchase the SL8 as well..honestly I like my SL7 tarmac better than the SL8 in the looks department..

Hi, thanks a lot for this review ! I am looking to purchase a new bike but I am still hesitating between Aethos and SL8. What would you recommend? I love climbing so I thought Aethos was for me, but the performances of the SL8 in climbing seems amazing as well, with the aero benefits that the Aethos does not have! What would you recommend ?

Exactly the bike I’m looking at. If you got to ride it, what do you think? I’ve got a smoking deal on an Sl7 expert or I can grab that pro. Difference in price is almost $4k usd. I already have the clii rapide wheels. What would you do?
