Wow, I've known how to do this for a while, but I never thought about the surface, it makes a huge difference.

I totally agree that our needs as magicians differ from the laymen's needs as audience. If we aren't aware of that difference, we wind up being magicians' magicians only.

the topic you talked about is a thing in every form of art. im a producer, and once u go a bit deep into the rabbit hole, you'll find alot of "flex beats" which, to a normal person, sounds like just complicated, messy, noise, but to electronic producers, is super impressive and difficult sound design. and us electronic producers will look up to these people and practice this sound design, but slowly lose the idea that ordinary people, our audience, likes simplicity. they don't like weird poly-riddim laser gun sound design. they like simple four on the floor beats with a simple chord progression.

I really liked what he said about impressing other magicians. I've been saying something similar about heavy metal for years. Long or extensive solos are just showing off for other guitarists. I think fans have different interests.

Magic is fascinating. It's a complex skill yet magicians nearly all seem to read or watch and study! Brainy❤🎉😊

Thank you so much for this tutorial, once I learned to switch to a softer surface, I got it almost immediately! :D

took me a couple dozen tries, but have it down pretty well now... SO much of this seems to be how much downward pressure you apply as you spread... I wasn't putting enough and it was coming out all uneven... but pretty smooth now... THANKS! :D

This was super-instructive....its all in how you hold the deck when you start the spread and after ten minutes practice I could get a fairly presentable spread. Flipping the spread...well, that seems to be a little more difficult, but, practice for half an hour and you should work it out. Just pay very close attention to how he holds the deck at the beginning.

Loved that little speech about magic at the beginning, your channel is awesome and always makes me want to do magic more

I know you're not a big fan of black and white decks, but a review of the Madison Rounders would be awesome. I really love your deck reviews and I think you always bring up the good points of a deck.

Also, new top 5 deck list or update of your card collection would be great.

As always, keep up the good work. Awesome vids. Can't wait to see more.

I agree with you! this is one of my favorite flourishes, because the audience loves it!
I use it in my micro macro routine, it looks very cool with mini cards too!

This move is what inspired me to do magic about a year ago and this is what got me known around the area.

Something about your teaching makes you really easy to follow. Always thorough but not redundant. You are a great teacher. Thanks Asad. (haha this is my third phone I thought your name to)

I like making the shock wave to the middle and then use 2 cards and send both waves in opposite directions and then bring them back in to one wave, very good tutorial :D
