For anyone who has problems spreading the cards apart equally, there are two reason why this might happen. Number one is that you are not putting pressure properly on the card edge. You must push down on your index finger specifically, not your whole hand. It might help to do it faster as well, because I found that when I moved faster that I had no choice but to do it right or else I lost control. The second thing is material. As someone else mentioned, a piece of paper will work well for this trick. I personally use a mousepad, and it honestly works great.

Thanks you so much... I have been working on so many shuffles and tricks and I was just about to give up but I saw this video. Thinking if I can't do this im done... Not really that helpfull man i came trying to see how to spread them equally so this really didnt help much
