Funny, as I’ve just bought mine a week ago and also considered the street triple. I’ve never owned a naked and was concerned around comfort. Hence going 850S. So, glad of your comments and loving mine.

They make great travel bikes.
I've had an 800 since 2013. Been all over Europe 2 up.
They're more nimble than the 1200+ when you arrive in places like Corsica.

I feel I will follow in your footsteps. Just recently got my 2021 CB650R but love a Tiger. I think a few years down the line I'll be getting my leg over an Adventure bike.

I had a 2014 Tiger 800 (back when there was only two to choose from).
Bullet proof bike. Bought with 21000 miles on the clock and sold it with 61500 and it never let me down.

Always regarded the Tiger 800 as the perfect all rounder/adventure machine. Not too heavy or large; perfect engine size and it's not a GS. Good choice sir!
And I ride a 1999 Thundercat, not a brand, spanking new Tiger; so no ownership bias involved

Nice bike, I recently owned an Crf1100 Adventure Sports África twin and I have to say that nowadays the adventure/sport turism motocycles are like sport motocycles but they have so better posicion and confortable riding. Good buyed and enjoy it 👏👏👏

I just bought a similar style of do everything bike, a Multistrada 950S spoke wheel and as soon as it’s had it’s first service I’m off on a decent tour. I love the sound of the triumph, the Euro5 Ducati literally sounds like a sewing machine. I really like the seating position of this style of bike. Here’s hoping that it’s the do everything machine.
