Why is everyone talking about the Falcon 2 Pro diode laser engraver? Is it because it is a class 1 laser? Or maybe because it has some great features. Is it better than an xTool S1? Most importantly, is the Falcon 2 Pro really a pro laser? Let's find out.

i think its most unique, useful and best cost saving feature is the lens monitoring, which extends the life of your lens by informing you when to clean it. as for the modules, i do not know why they haven't figured out yet how to selectively activate the lasers in the powerful modules. after all, these 20 - 40 watt modules are made up of several lasers all working together. it would save much more resources if you could use 100% of the power of a 40 watt module and at the same time use just one or two of the multiple lasers inside to make it a 1.5 watt for engraving.

Another cracking informative video, thank you.

I made a comment on your longer B1 review about noise and you pointed out that I might look for an enclosed unit.

How does this enclosed machine stack up against other circa 40w machines noise wise ?

I know its an odd main criteria for purchasing but dont want anything much noisier than My current atom X30, which My neighbours cannot hear

Did you use the 20 watt "Precise" feature at all? I've watched about a dozen videos on this particular item and it seems no one talks about that or even demonstrates it. Could you do a video on that capability? (BTW...I haven't purchased mine yet but would love to see a video on the 20 watt feature on the laser.)

Thanks for the review! Question re the laser focus using the block. If my design has both engraving and cutting, will the focus block work for that? I can see the block has cut/engrave but only for 1-3 mm. so if I have to engrave and cut 5mm can I do it in one pass with one focus adjustment? Cheers!

Is the 40w version slower even then a Wecreat 22w?

I'm considering buying this as a rather significant upgrade from my heavily used xTool D1 (not pro) 10w laser. But, since I'm mainly a woodworker, I make things like 18" diameter lazy susans...and some charcuterie boards that might be wider than will fit inside the enclosure. So....
My question is: Does this enclosed engraver allow for "pass-thru" projects so that, for example, I could engrave a quote on one end of a charcuterie board, then a family name on the opposite end? Let's assume that my charcuterie board is 8" wide but 28" long. Would I be able to use this engraver for such a project? I'm imagining that riser blocks or similar might be necessary to raise the creality frame off the surface of the wood.

FYI, the rotary that comes in the combo is the roller-style, which is garbage compared to the chuck. Additionally, without some sort of modification to the hardware or software, you cannot extend the feet/z-height to actually fit a tumbler, even a tiny one. The tray cannot be removed, as it has magnetic sensors. Pretty bummed out right now to find that the much cheaper versions are more capable, at least out of the box.

Also agree on the camera. It's kind of silly. This is no different than if I just put a $5 USB camera on the roof/rail of any other laser CNC machine. If everything just worked out of the box, I would forgive these things, but it has been a rather uphill experience so far. Should absolutely come with the chuck-style rotary for the price paid.

Who is your go-to for wood sheets? Particularly 3mm.

I'm looking for a 20w enclosure laser
Xtool s1 or creality 20w pro or the wecreat ?

What they should add is a cross-hair laser so you can align the laser starting points. Like some DIY laser hack channels make.

Hi. Im considering this laser model to cut BALSA wood from 1/32" to 1/4"(soft) and birch ply(aircraft grade) from 1/32" to 3/16". Any thoughts?

Can you put an item 6 inches high under the laser to be engraved on.

On the 40 watt laser is there a button on top to change it to a 20 watt laser?

That would all fine and good but 2k? I already have a decent enough diode laser 20w ray5 I can get a IR module too. If I were to spend to 2k I would be a getting a fiber laser.
