almost nobody is commenting on another feature of goat/ibex hooves that allow purchase on rocks and steep hills and that's the dew claws which act like spikes when moving down hill, slowing down the decent and giving additional grip.

Me and my family had a lot of luck because we saw a pair of chamois during the summer when we were on a trip in the mountains(Dolomites/Alps). And a while ago we event saw a pair of does standing in the snow. I'll never forget those sights, nature is AMAZING.
