OPs wife was so checked out that even if OP handed her the divorce papers face to face, it still would’ve taken her 7-10 business days to realize it.

She was living a work free life that he was funding. And she chose to abuse that and even cheated on him. I just can’t understand people who are so horrible and selfish.

Her boyfriend broke up with her a year after the divorce...right around the time OP's payments would've stopped. She was the ATM.

Ofc, she wants OP to comeback because he was her ATM at the time.

I don't think you're wrong. Every case is different and he was right to leave this way. His wife had already left.

Lunch with her girls. 😂😂😂 there’s reason I married her. Because he didn’t know better and he didn’t think he could do better. That’s why he married her.

I agree with you LG, two completely different situations here, his wife made a choice to isolate him from her life, because she already had other interests, it seems like she would from time to time make sure to talk to him as to apease him, that marriage was over way before his accident, he was just her meal ticket, I can’t imagine how many dates and trips he pay for them… Absolutely shameless.

What was even the point of the prenup if he was just going to give her everything anyway?

This dude finally got some action after getting his self-confidence smashed in a dead bedroom situation that culminated in being cheated on. He's got every right to give himself a little shout-out, he's living a better life.

Two good stories, LG. Glad OP in #1 was able to extricate himself painlessly from a painful situation!

OP says his wife and him were like roommates, but I can't imagine not noticing that a roommate hasn't been home until 10 days after they left.

9:16 One of the first things I learned in law school is that you can have two identical cases, but with different results.
This comes down to the interpretation of the facts, the nuances like you said. In one story the OP was trying to make it work but ended up giving up, in another story the OP saw no reason to try to make it work.
In both cases the result was the same, but the reasons were completely different.
So there's no problem with liking one and not liking the other.

Story 1: no I get why you initially felt that way about the OP from a couple of days ago I felt the same way before the update. Today’s OP did what he did because his wife clearly didn’t care about him for a long time. The fact it took 10 days for her to notice he wasn’t home was what justified OP leaving the way he did.

Story 1: OP sounds like he is living happily which is the best form of revenge IMO :D

Nuance is absolutely the right situation and I don't think its hypocritical at all.

That's so sad I feel bad for op but at least he saw his selfworth.

I'm always baffled whenever someone who doesn't respect themselves and lets other use them constantly is shocked their SO doesn't respect them and just used them. 😂😂😂

In story 1, I agree that leaving divorce papers on the bed and walking (driving) away was absolutely justified. She moved him into the spare bedroom and lied that it happened before the accident. She didn’t even notice he had left! I try not to engage in schadenfreude, but dang, in her case I might have enjoyed it just a little if karma had kicked her harder than it did.

Sir, this is the Internet. Nuance doesn't exist and we only deal in absolutes.

Story 1 - classic ungrateful spouse takes the comfortable lifestyle provided to them for granted and cry crocodile tears when the other files for divorce.
