The Bangladesh Crisis of 1971, also known as the Bangladesh Liberation War, was a devastating conflict that emerged from rising tensions between East and West Pakistan. Discriminatory policies, economic exploitation, and cultural repression against the Bengali-speaking population in East Pakistan led to mass discontent. This escalated when the West Pakistani military launched a brutal crackdown on March 25, 1971, resulting in widespread atrocities, including massacres and targeted violence against civilians. The crisis triggered a mass exodus of refugees into neighboring India and culminated in a war between India and Pakistan. After months of intense fighting, Bangladesh emerged as an independent nation on December 16, 1971, marking the end of one of the bloodiest conflicts in South Asian history.

I am a Bangladeshi Hindu From Chittagong district. We are safe now. But when sheikh Hasina fled away then the government and law and order collupsed. After that, the whole week we were in serious threat. Over 20+ district some local selfish muslims attacked on our house, shops and burn our temples and looted the temples (No rape case) on the other side some local muslims gave us protection. But now the interim government formed and also the law and order established. Now we feel safe. And also the new interim government give us priority.(Update: 18th Aug 2024)

I am a Bangladeshi. So many informations are missing. The protest could be easily handled. But Hasina tried to stop the protest by killing more than 450 students. Among them 32 were childrens. Police fired from helicopter during the protest. It made people furious. Everybody came out and joined the protest. You can talk about US conspiracy but it was an organic protest at the begining.
