I just wanna drop a thank you. Your info along with another curly chemist on yt helped restore my crown area and just overall health of my hair. I combed out my locs and had alot of damage but now my natural curls are luscious and it only took 3-6 months.

Not even just bonnets and scarves, which idk why anybody would want to wear a bonnet all day everyday anyway, but wigs too. Wigs and these wig caps absolutely suffocate the hair. I know women that wear wigs every single day of the week all day and their hair is definitely not getting air or sunlight or interacting with the outside world. I’m a firm believer that wigs can stunt growth in that way. Not saying people don’t grow hair under wigs, but the hair does thrive the same as when wearing styles wear the scalp is exposed (braids, twists, locs...etc)
