the quail eggs is called "kwek kwek", and it is a very common and popular street food, accompanied with a sauce of your choice: sweet, spicy, or vinegar which is why by itself, it doesn't taste much so it needs a sauce. If you buy it normally from a street vendor, you'd put the sauce yourself. you should definitely do a street food tour soon

The Lechon capital of Kalakhang Maynila (Metro Manila) is La loma in Lungsod Quezon (Quezon City) You will see a lot of Lechon stalls that sells Lechon that are being lined up outside in the street. It is such a beautiful sight to behold.

Just read the description. We call those small lechon Ed pigs as cochinillo and we have those as well esp since pandemic. We usually have the big roasted pigs because we liked using it for big events and parties (big gatherings). Since we now usually have smaller gatherings, the cochinillos are now more popular even though it has been around for a long time.

Makati is the financial center of the Philippines. I hope you also went to Makati's Greenbelt mall (consisting of 5 linked malls). It's one of the most beautiful malls in the metro, esp its outdoor area with all the greeneries.
I think the guy selling the artistic repurposed items is not the actual person who made them. It seems to me that he's just a hired guy that mans the store and may not be confident with his English, that's why he didn't engage with you.
Glad you loved the lechon. But the best lechon is in Cebu. Though personally, i also like the lechon here in Manila, especially Lydia's. :)
