Technically it was at a professional level for an A-League club. But played against a semi professional npl team (low level youth team), he would of been awful at A-League level. As I support Mariners and have been a season ticket holder since day 1 I know what I mean when I say this was a publicaty stunt from Bolt as we did actually consider offering him a contract- but his agent wanted a fee in excess of 1million dollars for a half season contract which is just stupid some our better players dont make that money. We are glad he is gone - we brought Bolt in back when our previous nonce of an owner was making terrible decisions for our beautiful club.
