This was on my drivers test (in Canada). When a tractor trailer goes wide left, you always break and wait because the truck driver is most likely creating room for a right hand turn.

This should be mandatory teaching just for a regular drivers license

If that white car was close enough that I can undertake the lorry like that, the lorry driver could and should have seen it before the turn and taken that into account.

I mean it doesn't change the fact that the car driver is suicidally stupid in undertaking a lorry like that. But the truck driver should know the car is behind him and keep that in mind when setting up for the turn.
