Ear Keloid Treatment without Surgery

Despite occurrence and worsening of keloids after surgery, still many who treat keloids resort to surgery to remove the keloid mass. Although surgery works for cancers or other diseases that are limited to a particular area, keloid disorder is widespread throughout the skin, as such it cannot be treated with surgery. There are way too many patients who have developed a much worse keloid than what they started with, only because of surgical intervention. The concept of using radiation to prevent recurrence of keloid, although it may work for some, it carried an undisputed risk of causing cancer. It is unfortunate that may who provide radiation therapy to keloid patients downplay this risk. Cryotherapy is an excellent method for treating ear and other bulky keloids.
