How to choose the best acrylic white roof coating

In 2008 I painted my conventional asphalt shingle pitched roof with elastomeric white roof paint (Home Depot: Henry brand; Lowes: Black Jack brand) using a 9" conventional paint roller on a stick and no primer. (The shingles were several years old in 2008. Don't paint without a primer first on new shingles less than 30 days old.) Am very pleased with the results. It cures leaks even before they start and cost 1/3 to 1/4 as much as a reshingle. Nine years later, it shows very little wear. It's immune from all but the most severe hailstorms, unlike unpainted asphalt shingles. It saves on cooling costs. Don't like white? Paint over the white roof paint with any exterior grade paint, in the same color as your shingles if you want. I painted the drip lip at the edge of the shingles too, with a paint brush, so precipitation touches nothing but roof paint until it hits the ground.

Any thoughts on Tropi-Cool, also by Henry? We’re trying to keep cool in So Cal where humidity isn’t a big issue but in our zip code, heat definitely is. It’s not Lancaster, but it’s among the hottest cities in continental Los Angeles County.

High and thanks for the helpful video! I was planning to try Enviro-White on a sunroom-type plastic-panel roof that started leaking with small cracks
after a few years (these are clear hollow panels which also get very hot in summer). Panels are still basically sound and the goal is to last
another few years with good heat-reflection as well as being rain-proof. Can I roll your product on top of these panels while also painting the underside?
Is it thick and sticky enough to brush on ceilings?

thanks for telling the diff between your three roof paints. But sadly it only tells me basic info. What I am looking for is actual showing how the inside of the house changes. Example: I saw one youtube video which used 3 boxes covered with roof material. Then they painted those boxes and placed bbq thermometers (with wire so the read out was outside each box, and the probe was inside the box. One of the boxs had a 40F difference over the other two Want to sell paint show us stuff like that with three larger boxes the size of a small house. With nothing different other that the paint wtih a thermomettor on a very hot day of over 90F. Then that ill be impressive.
