I am a Muslim woman of hispanic descent born in NYC. I am very happy to wear my hijab. No one has ever oppressed me or made me wear the hijab against my will. God willing (insha Allah) will wear it till the day i die. I am a blessed and happy muslim woman 🙏

Tesneem, I just had a surreal moment. My name is Lily and I am a school social worker. I was guest speaking about Islam in America for our middle schoolers in preparation for a school trip to the Diyanet center in Lanham and found your amazing channel. I am only now realizing that we were roommates at IIIT in 2015. I’m so happy to know you’re flourishing and will continue to use your wonderful videos for my class. Sending best wishes your way.

Thank you very much! Even though I, in my heart, know why I am wearing it, it can be hard to express to people, especially who are already looking at it from a judgmental standpoint. You put it in such an eloquent way!
