Hijab, niqab, burqa are all words we hear a lot in the media, but what are the differences between the three different styles Muslim women choose to wear? The National Post’s Ashely Csanady explains.

I love the "choose to wear" phraseology. Many Muslim women "choose to wear" these garments to avoid beatings, arrest, or murder.

The difference in styles is the level to which it erases women from society and the added layer of anonymity. It grants in an attempt to create an accountable society.

Yes, but they're not religious preference they're actually ignorant to say that. It's a political issue. They were forced on them through shariah Sharia laws. It's not in the Koran. Just the laws that took over.
