Hello everyone,

In this video, I talk about how WhatsApp works. I have just talked about how a message is sent from one user to another. I have not talked about a lot of other features which might complicate things.

I have also talked about how XMPP and Websockets are different and why XMPP might be a better choice for chat applications.

PS: Sorry for the thumping noise in the middle. I know it is irritating but it could not be cut and I live in the house below the dinosaurs' house.

1:07 you said that one way can be to keep polling the server which is long polling..but isn't continously polling server called as short polling
