I graduated from high school in 1997. This was the ultimate date movie. I saw this film five times in the theatre with a different girl or group of friends.
In the 90's, before smart phones and the modern internet, you had to really know your friends. You had to know their schedules and when they would be around to take a phone call. There was nothing more miserable than being stuck home on the weekend, unable to locate your friends...

What an incredible film! I went with my girlfriend at the time, only a couple of days into our relationship, and I was a bit timid about making physical contact. Throughout the whole movie, though, she was snuggled up against my neck. Such fond memories.
