What made the original so good/scary was the small town, folksy, sit around a campfire telling ghost stories vibe. This seems to have none of that, and while it may be good in its own rite, it just doesn't feel like IKWYDLS.

if you’ve read the book, you’d know that nobody could adapt it verbatim.
The book is told from 2 different perspectives: Julie and Helen.
At different points, they both come across a character that gives them different aliases, but he’s actually the same person. And he’s the killer!
It makes sense in the book; but it wouldn’t translate in a visual medium.
That’s why the film goes a different route.

One thing the show does well is keeps its mystery throughout the seasons run. Some episodes stand stronger than others, but after finishing the series, I can say that this was a refreshing take on the original story and on reboots in general.

I love how many people are quick to hate this simply because there is no fisherman and is a “checklist killer in a hoodie” as one said, yet are 100% oblivious to the fact that the actual “original” is a novel in which the stalker (not killer, no one dies) is exactly that. Just a guy stalking around in a hoodie lol. Get your facts people. Or at least read a book once in a while lol.

I feel like they've made a show out of every iconic horror movie now Scream, Psycho, Evil Dead, Silence of the lambs, Teen Wolf etc. So this was bound to happen now we just need a Halloween and Friday the 13th series

This is really good, the plot twist, the actors/actresses are all so good too. It also had the potential to be crazily good but the lack of explanation of how things go down, ya know like the reason and plan of every kills and all. They should have given us those thrilling adventure after they revealed the person behind every thing. But overall, it's a really good show and it's a highly recommendation

I’m really enjoying this series. It has suspense in every episode, unexpected twists and turns and I can’t wait to see the next weeks episode! They've taken the story and made it their own. I was hooked instantly. I've seen a lot of people hating on it but it's actually a real gripping, chilling story. Best show i've seen in a while and every episode leaves you guessing and wondering what's next and who's the killer! 10/10!
