Been driving manual for 15 yrs. But loved auto hold in my new automatic. This auto hold should be there for manual cars too..not everyone is so skilled plus it's extra pressure on driver and clutch plate in bumper to bumper traffic

Another method to check the biting point is by using Tachometer.
Keep watching the meter, once it starts crossing the 1000rpm mark on releasing the clutch the car won't go back and you can release the brakes and accelerate

I never used hand brakes or brakes on uphill unless I have to start from the parking position .
