Did you cook the rice in the leftover liquid for 8 minutes and did you pressure cook the rice or did you use the steam cooking feature?

I have the Cooks Essentials Pressure Cooker...PC0400.. I just used it for the first time for a pot roast. The lid seal was in place and I locked the lid. Put the safety valve in place then did the setting. Pressure ..low ...then set the timer for 1.0 (1 hour?). Anyway the pressure cooker heated up to cook, but steam came out vents and around the lid. So I don't think it was pressure cooking. I didn't even have to release any steam when it quit cooking and the meat looked like it was steamed and it was not done. I went on line to read the manual but it was not that helpful. What should I have done differently. Thank you very much.

OK David I got a pressure cooker from QVC 4qt. cook's essentials. the pressure get to the where the steam comes out, , but the timer never counts down.. please tell me what to

have a cook essentials electric pressure cooker and steam is always coming out the vent and the error message is always on..what could be the problem??? I can manually set cooking time, but steam is continually coming out the vent. sometimes the error message goes away but the food has burnt!! What is

I received the 10 quart Power XL PPC780 as a gift....I cannot get the adjusted timer to work and the manual is unclear about this. SAlso there are no instructions for use as a slow cooker. HELP!

I dont know why i just dont care for the electric ones. Something about my presto 6qt i love. There is something nostalgic with hearing the rocker hissing and moving. My grandma used to pc and i always remembered that hiss. My mom got me one for xmas and i thought what am i gona do with it when i first got into cooking but now i use it all the time. Pressure cooked pulled pork in about an hr no problem, beef stew and chili verde boom.

Silicone Pressure Cooke can you tell me how I can use cake mix from the box and make it in my Pressure Cooker how to cook it how long to cook it I would love it if you could help me there is no videos on live about it

I have a cooks essential pressure cooker Model 99609. I haven't used it yet and cant find the directions how to use it. Its not like the digital ones that are in the video. Does anyone have this model? Thanks in advance :-)

I ordered from tv add. I thought I was getting the XL I ordered but they sent me the one that doesn't have all the buttons and no books so I'm not sure how to use it., , ,

I assume the cooker is connected to the mains plug and not on stove hob? First looking into pressure cookers.

My electric pressure cooker came with little to no directions and while the labeled buttons would lead one to think it is "just that simple" it is not. It's great to watch someone demonstrate and talk us through it but I found the music playing while you're talking is very distracting.
