Wow! I just got recommended this channel and what great timing! I'm also a self-taught EE undergrad, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on an old 1970s DIY electronics kit. I also grew up with RadioShack in my hometown, and Forest M Mimms led my learning experience. Glad to see this kit becoming available for curious minds, there's a huge lack of this available online right now. I've already subscribed and I'm excited to see where this goes! Just bought the kit! I’m trying to remove some of the mystery of the schematic and how all the components work on a board so this is perfect. And I’m trying to learn this stuff so I can fix up older electronics, not computers so this is great. Thanks for putting it together!

I was super happy watching this video. When I outgrew my Lego mindstorms kit and wanted to enter the world of electronics, I didn't have any guidance. no radioshack or other cool stores in India that gave out kits. Whenever I tried to learn electronics from youtube, it was either way to complex(taught with engineering level math) or not taught properly, so I ended up floating about aimlessly for years before I could do real circuit work. It worked out in the end; I did learn a lot, and im even studying Computer Engineering in college rn, but i'm glad that a lotta young curious minds will have such a great resource like this in the future! :)

I just ran across your channel today and immediately grabbed my kids (14 & 16) and asked if they'd be interested in learning this and BOTH of them said yes and seemed very excited.

Sucks that they won't ship until next year, though. But I will be adding this to our 'get' list and will purchase your kit.

And now I feel like a kid because I want to start learning this too, though mine will be for projects for an Escape Room. I realize I can buy Arduinos and get started that way but I'd much rather come at an Arduino with at least a basic understanding of what it's doing and why, than to just get one and program something.

It would be very cool if I could eventually create my own circuit boards for projects. Very cool.

Very curious about your explanations, you seem like you could strengthen my understanding of the basics. If you need anyone to proof read or volunteer, I'd be happy to do it for access to the booklet :)
