Hi. New subbie here. I recently started painting from scratch not knowing anything about art or painting. I started because I am a lost person right now. My mother past away my aunt past away my God Father past away. My uncle past away. I have no one anymore. So I found peace in painting. I searched art galleries and your channel came up. Im so grateful for the way you observe and explain the content. Thank you for sharing your voice and the music is peace for me as well. Thank you.

I lit up when i heard Jay Heikes mentioned. I took his Painting as Object course at MCAD years back. Even though i unfortunately could not afford to continue my studies at the school, that course was the single most influential painting course i ever took. Truly life-changing experience.

Thank you Mary Lynn, it's very generous of you to take the time and effort to share these experiences. Lovely smooth camera work and you possess an adorable voice. It's very calming. I really appreciate the content of your voiceover too. It takes bravery to talk publicly about art. All much appreciated.

I get the oddest overdue sense of calm peace and wonder floating through all these artworks ...there's something liberating about being before the quirky unexpected often strange unexplainable substance of human emotional intuitive freedom . The failure of words .

Your interest and comments and obvious passionate interest of modern day art are touching. Thank you for sharing the goings on in the NYC art world. I watched this and cringed. I wonder what Michelangelo or da Vinci would say? Seriously! I remember reading an article in ArtNews about 40 years ago, and the gallery owners (like Saatchi) said that they didn’t consider showing any artist’s work unless they had shown ability to progress from a traditional education and ability. The early studies of Picasso are a great example. This is no longer true. I’ll never get it 😢. Guess beauty truly is “in the eye of the beholder”! Again thank you for your postings. ❤

My Favorite is the Sculpture by Diana Ahaldeed ?? It's a rather whimsical piece, I too love the details. It kind of reminds me of ancient architect's temple carvings out of mountain sides.

With gratitude, Mary. As an aside: I also appreciate James K-- his work, his bicycle, his extensive knowledge & experience (and 'Kate', though I don't recall him ever explaining that) -- but permanently seasick after so many year enduring his hyper-swift camera XOXO

I love your pod cast -- awesome , and you are clearly extremely smart. Your comment by Angel Otero is right on. The paintings are positioned exquisitely between abstraction and recognizable objects.

Absolutely enjoy this video especially this time of the year when everywhere everything shut down . You really make my day by bringing me to NYC Art Gallery where I had been wishing to go all my life. I am 72 years old now really don't think I can visit there in person anymore. Thanks with love. Take care.
