NYC Art Gallery Tour : Chelsea Galleries during Frieze week

It's Frieze week in NYC which means the shows are extra special. I haven't been to Chelsea to see galleries for a LONG time, so I thought I'd take you along with me for an NYC art gallery tour to see some incredible exhibits.

Thanks for another great gallery tour! Claes Oldenburg with Coosje van Bruggen was such a nice discovery together, wow! For me their work really stood out this time against their more contemporary peers.

As I'm a huge fan of photography I quite enjoyed the Richard Mosse show. For me, it struck just the right tone both visually and conceptually. Big fan of Clemente as well but it really didn't hold my attention. It kind of looked mailed in aesthetically. In person, the paintings were big, flat patches of dark gray with minimal tonal variation contained within some bright orange outlines of something resembling a helmut. I guess, Clemente, being a family friend, is trying to help get Vito established and is a safe choice, but I would have preferred to see some young new talent in a new space such as this.

Not clear how the Graham piece is a "heterotopia"... The parallel is somewhat superficial. Corporate office buildings are more than just the glass walls that enclose them.
