There seems to be a double standard here. Where was this new word respecting countries sovereign rights and foreign policy decisions just a few years ago? How come there are countries under Sanctions today because of their foreign policy decisions too? How can we say to Russia "Respect Sovereign right to self Determination of other countries" when we do not act the same way?. I am all for what the Secretary General is saying, I am all for the great principle of all countries regardless of size equal treatment and respect, but that should apply to ALL countries, unless they are being aggressive to others. And even then what about internal issues? Ukraine has had a Civil War for 8 years, who cared about this? Who tried to end it? Why didn't UN Blue helmets go in between the regions to ensure peace? And why are we not willing to recognize the right to self determination of the people in Separatist regions, why isn't Ukraine willing to do so as a Democracy?

I am not for War either, I do not condone the war right now on Ukraine either, yet, I am left ambivalent by the facts of all sides here and the apparent double standard and double game.
