70 Years of Sorrow: Inside History’s Most Brutal Social Experiment (Michael Malice)

North Korea has been something of a mystery to outside observers. But author Michael Malice -- author of Dear Reader: The Unauthorized Autobiography of Kim Jong Il -- takes us inside the hermit kingdom to offer us a glimpse of what life is like for a people with no voice and no exit.

Voice & Exit is a dynamic, transformative festival of the future. Exiters are dedicated to maximizing human flourishing for individuals, communities and our world.

“You never change things by fighting the existing reality,” Buckminster Fuller reminds us. “To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” The Voice & Exit community is for those actively seeking to opt-out of models that don’t give rise to human flourishing to create those models that do.

We don’t predict the future, we create it.

“Everyone has to stand and say what they did wrong, and then all their friends get up and denounce them. It’s almost impossible for us as a free people to understand.”
Not anymore. It’s become frighteningly easy to understand and recognize. I used to wonder about places like North Korea, Stalinist Russia, Maoist China, and Nazi Germany. I used to shake my head in disbelief, unable to comprehend how such absurdities could happen like the show trials, the struggle sessions, the public denunciations, the race laws, the pogroms, the book burnings, the thought police... I no longer wonder because I’m seeing first hand how a society descends into madness.

And here we are five years later, and we're learning exactly what it's like to live under the "tyranny of your neighbor".

He's right that it's hard for us who have been raised in a free society to understand regimes like this, but I tell you I understand it much better since the SJWs kicked it into high gear.

“Socialism is difficult when you have too many people.” - Kim Jung Il
Obviously, Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) is a fan and practitioner of this.

When you have to talk about the realities of North Korea to give a veiled warning about what America is becoming...

Whats the one thing North Korean citizens don't have besides food, electricity, shelter, hope, dignity, and happiness?

Guns.

Don't lose them America.

The worst part about this whole speech was that the audience doesn't know Michael Malice's sense of humour.

This is the first I have heard of this guy, but the presentation is quite informative - we can learn a lot from this.

A South Korean friend if mine told me years ago, that even the "free" north Koreans are subject to travel restrictions. If you ride the train, a soldier may ask where you're going and if your reason isn't good enough they can turn you back.

We are very close to something like this in Canada these days.

🤦‍♂️ its mind blowing that some people still think highly of socialism...

This message needs to continually sent to all woke folk who believe socialism is good…it simply isn’t good.. it’s epitomized evil and human suffering

That 3 generations remark, about removing class enemies must be the calculated & definite amount of time it takes to remove actual history from a country’s narrative.
Awesome presentation sir! Thank you.
