Sub-10 second sprints in the 100m used to be a rarity, but now we're seeing more athletes achieve this incredible feat. But just how common has breaking this legendary barrier become? What are the true odds of being a world class sub-10 sprinter?

The odds of being me are even more impressing: 1/whatever zillion.

I think the odds are a bit misleading. While 1 in 42 million may be true how many people actually push themselves to achieve this? How many people that live to 100 take care of their bodies? My point is the odds for an individual change dramatically when they actually try. Your odds of being a sub 10 second sprinter as a determined teenager are substantially better than 1 in 42million if you make it your goal and apply effort.

That’s not really true because not everybody sprints. They’re probably sub 10 second sprinters out there who are untrained and have no experience with the sport, but they can be by their genetics sub 10 sprinters.

Everyone is in the race to a 100 years, not everyone is in the race to a 100 meters.

I think most body male can do it but nobody really interested in achieves it nor got the time or resources to do it.

Who really wants to live to 100 anyway? Unless you can be tap dancing on others graves like Dick Van Dyke?

Statistically true. But that person could have been in group 1 😅😅 God's Dice 🎲 can quite often ignore the statistical probability 😅

Importantly, if there were two sub 10 sec sprinters drowning at sea and you could only save one, which type of sandwich would you go off and make 😅😅😅

This is misleading because it's impossible for women to run 100m in less than 10 seconds so lets not bullshit there. Even the fastest womens time was from a runner using PEDs. Lots of men on the other hand don't pursue this goal so they aren't training to break that record.

You're including women in this stat, aren't you? Which is stupid, isn't it? In that it massively skews your data, doesn't it?
