I could not believe that I had found this forgotten 1972 Italian Motorcycle, a Benelli to be exact and it has only 1 mile on the bike. its was never sold from when it was new. and we are going to see if we can get it running and get this rare Italian motorcycle to get me home.

This is like a cross between American Pickers and American Choppers but without the shouting. The production and editing on this video is great. History should pick you up for a show.

I'm 21, I don't own a motorcycle let alone know any of these parts, mechanisms, and terminologies but I've been subscribed for about 2 weeks now and so far I'm loving every single video I come across. Best wishes to SRK Cycles and the guys. Much love from the Philippines!

I found the exact same bike in 1987. Kids had been riding around a gravel pit and dumped it. I took it home, basic service and it ran like a dream. I could never get it registered here in the UK as the VIN plate was gone. But I rode it on the trails around the Ridgeway where you could ride without registration for many years. It never missed a beat. Parts were not easy to get back then.

Hey Craig, “ I’m not helping “ Hahaha, don’t know who all got that, but I love it. Shows you they’re not only coworkers or whatever you want to call it, but still just two friends enjoying motorcycles and having fun while doing it.

I like that you guys are doing some vintage motorcycle content. That's a cool bike. "Are we gonna buy this thing before we completely tear it apart?" Meanwhile Sean is taking parts of other random bikes in the guys yard. : ) He was a good sport to let you guys work on the bike in his driveway.

I owned one of those bikes. Loved it. Much nicer than the japanese bikes of the time. Wide torque band and great suspension. It will run without the battery. Does it have the odd key for the ignition in the head light? It looks like a pointer knob with a phone plug sticking out of it. The ignition it on when you insert it fully. Turn it to switch on the head lamp. Pulling it half way out kills the ignition. Your Gas/Oil mix should be 13 to 1 for break-in. Then go to 20 to 1 after 1K miles. This is conventional oil of course. The engine is cold blooded and needs to have the enrichening lever on for a while. It tends to load up until it gets fully warmed, but then it pulls like a tractor and revs great. Never had any reliability problems. Seeing it again brings back some fond memories. Thanks guys, and enjoy some retro fun.

When I was a kid we had a Benelli 50cc road bike. It was branded as Montgomery Wards. Used to ride it on the trails which it was not designed to do. The gas tank stuck proud of the seat so when you'd hit a bump wrong, balls busted...
