Buying a 50 year-old Hobby Shop - Part 1

As if we didn't have enough on our plates with 50,000 games... we are in the process of yet another massive purchase. The contents of a Hobby Shop that ran for 50 YEARS. We've built a connection with the owner over the last several months. We've bought tons of retro video games, vintage knives, and so much more from him, we're excited to see what's next! The owner, Ron, is a great business man, and is still nearly a full time reseller himself, even without owning his Hobby Shop anymore.

Chase and Skyler, I spent many an hour at Ron's store in Richmond. When I say it was packed to the gills, I am not kidding. You could barely walk through the store because there was stuff all over the place. I was one of the few people he ever let go downstairs at the store. The basement of the store was packed even more than the main floor. He had stuff stacked from the floor to the ceiling with only two small aisles to walk down. It was amazing! I am so happy that you guys are able to purchase his remaining inventory! Ron could not ask for better people to work with!

I simply would have felt like I’d died and gone to heaven if I had an opportunity like this. He seemed almost emotional with joy and your kindness. I hope you cherish that memory and it stays with you till the end. Ron is an absolute treasure. Really commendable on how all the guys interacted with him. He reminds me a lot of my grandad and although he didn’t have a shop or a house full of stock, his shed was a treasure trove of hand made tools and come-in-handys. Great video!

Easiest thing to remember when backing, my OTR trainer tought me, turn towards the problem you want to go away. Meaning if your trailers coming more into view in your left or right mirror turn towards it to get it to go back to straight or the other side.
