The 2023 Honda CR-V EX-L AWD Is A Handsome Redo For A Very Popular SUV

When you consistently sell over 300,000 units in America every year, an automaker must take caution when it comes time for a redesign. The #HondaCRV is a great example of this, now in its 6th generation, the new #Honda #CRV takes a very handsome but conservative approach for this 2023 model year. While Honda expects the #CRVHybrid to take a much larger piece of the sales pie, the regular #CRVEX and #CRVEXL will be in showrooms this month at a base price of just over $31k before destination charges.

Happy Monday guys! Sorry for the change in posting for this video. At the last minute, Honda asked media to move the embargo end date from 8/30 to today at 9am EST. We will also be driving the new CR-V Hybrid on 10/12 so stay tuned for our full coverage on the top of the line, Sport Touring version sometime next month! We're hoping we get a much quicker acceleration run with the Hybrid version as well.

Great video as always. I’ll never understand why someone in the car company decide for downgrade to the in incandescent turn signals in 2022 and ESPECIALLY when previous generation had LED ones. Like why for the love of God.

Overall still a great car, just don't understand why Honda cheaped out on certain things like the rear halogen turn signals, base wheels, and no handles to release the rear seat in the cargo area.

Hopefully Honda reads your comments for feedback! A lot of folks pointing out Honda cheapening out on things like the incandescent rear signals and removing the rear seat release handles in the cargo area. Last gen had these things.
C'mon Honda, I was rooting for you... we were all rooting for youuu! Learn something from this 🙏

After seeing the first look video, I decided to get the Mazda CX-5 Premium Plus. So glad I did not wait. A nicer interior, cooled seats, and the single dial infotainment system instantly became my favorite infotainment of all time. Plus my Mazda inline 4 with 6 gears sounds so much better!

I mostly use my horn to honk at neighbors who are outside when I drive by, so having a “friendly-sounding” horn is actually a bonus. 😂

I loved the black wheels a few years ago but now I love the standard silver wheels. Car looks cleaner with them imo. Thanks for the review!

My 2017 exl has rear charge ports and they take it away in the 2022. When other companies are adding ports everywhere

Happy they started you off with the lower trim model not everyone likes to throw down the money for the top if the line

I miss the k24. Absolutely bulletproof engine. Yes it had less power, and earlier versions weren't gdi, but it was dead reliable, no turbo, and could move.

This fetish for small engines with turbos to get 2-3 more mpg and stimulate bigger engines is disturbing. I'll hang into my k24 and j35 accords as long as I can. 😔

For the last 12 years it was CRV > Rav4. Now I can confidently say Rav4 > CRV. Honda gotta step up to the competition imo

Good to see it still has a (temporary?) spare. And vastly superior ergonomics. Safe and easy to operate SUV.

It looks good but I don’t know how I feel about Honda using the same dash for all their cars.

I just bought a white one of these and I love it. I traded my 2020 CRV on it with less than 3, 000 miles. I live close to everything I need and fly when I travel.

That 0-60 time makes this the car we all scream at on the on-ramps

06:35 the floor that doesn’t stay flat is an absolute deal breaker for someone who wants to car camp. I am glad I bought a 2022 CRV hybrid and didn’t wait for this. Feels like a terrible disappointment to me.

My mother and I purchased a 2023 Honda CR-V at Hughes Honda in Warner Robins, GA on 5/26/2023

We bought the SPORT HYBRID.

Color: Canyon River Blue Metallic

Interior: Black cloth

I love the car. I wish they would've added Sirius XM in that model like they do with the SPORT TOURING HYBRID and the EX-L.

We were going to buy it but the SPORT HYBRID was cheaper.

10:48 you can actually remove the car image with the sensors to make the screen bigger. If the sensors detect something it will show on the corner of the screen in a small icon so that it wont hide your camera as much.

The exterior is a big improvement, overall a nice looking vehicle. 0 -60 is abysmal, however, ought to be fun merging onto the highway. Great review
