I don't know if this is an original idea on my part or if many others have also done this, but I will instruct ChatGPT to create a written dialogue between two or more people in Spanish (my target language) and then I will read it outloud, working on my pronunciation and hopefully adding some new vocabulary. What's great about this is I can practice talking about any topic I want and at whatever level I want. And of course if there are parts I don’t understand, I can ask it to explain. I really enjoy using ChatGPT

Really enjoyed this. A fun exercise I've done is get it to write a story with me, and I ask it to produce an image representing each scene. It kept me more engaged.

The key to have a good accent is phonetic! Learn phonetic, you will learn any language fast and you will to speak almost native speaker.

A use that is not new is for AI to build Q&A style quizzes for structures that I'm working on (translating sentences into shorter sentences using direct and indirect object pronouns) that I can then add into Anki.

I have a paid version of chat gpt 4 but there is no headphone anywhere just a mic in the right hand corner of the ask me anything section, Is this what I should use instead to get started, i use my ipad for gpt.

Why do you edit out the time it takes for ChatGPT to respond to you, thereby giving a false impression that it is more usable than it really is?

You can’t learn any language with it because it doesn’t know all languages. In fact it knows a few languages

Chat GPT has an aweful accent though, please don’t use it to learn pronunciation/intonation! And it gets worse and worse the rarer the language is that you are learning.

The app isn't perfect because the speech is very fast. This is so sad..so..so..sad
