There is a reason why throughout the anime ending Lucy is the one in such pain. This song really speaks from her perspective to David. She betrayed him, embraced him, then withheld information that she thought would protect him but if she was able to express herself better things could of ended up very differently. Its extremely tragic to realize Lucy really is the main character. her backstory is far more tragic and in the way she was raised it made it hard for her to express herself in a healthy way which ended up hurting the one she loved most, but David gave her everything so she could move forward. Beautiful.
