My dude, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LOVING AND REVIEWING THIS MOVIE. To this day, I can watch this movie again and again, and still...I get emotional. I think this is honestly a perfect film. What's up, Jody? I reviewed this film many years ago and watched it many years ago. This movie is awesome, with great characters and an amazing story. The music for this film is absolutely beautiful. Such a film is sad and beautiful, all at the same time. The values that the Samurai have in this film, are values that are lacking in alot of humans, in this day and age. Great review, Jody.👍👍

Like Only True dreamer this is my favorite movie. I am so happy that you liked it Jody. I was not a Tom Cruz fan but after watching this movie that changed. I love his portrayal of Captain Algren, but Katsumoto and Taka were my favorite. Katsumoto whos values never waivered and how he captivated us with the life of the Samurai. Taka was a beautiful feminine woman who’s strength was shown many times. The scene with her dressing Algren in his armor is my favorite love scene to date. I say love scene because although they only shared one physical kiss the love and intimacy between the two was so beautiful to watch. My favorite line is “I've never been a church going man, and what I've seen on the field of battle has led me to question God's purpose. But there is indeed something spiritual in this place. And though it may forever be obscure to me, I cannot but be aware of its power.”

SJW's get all mad at this movie saying it's a typical white savior narrative but this movie does so much to celebrate and appreciate Japanese culture. It's beautiful. Great Review Jody; my favorite TC performance, A compelling Story on him having PTSD and his broken war heroic leadership. Loved the way the description of the Government shifting towards a new direction. It shows Uplifting Teaching moments, Hardcore training. While Cruise kicking the other samurai ass!

Tom Cruise is in my top 5 actor list and I remember this film years ago. Last Samurai was good overall in my opinion. Glad that you got a chance to see it and shout out to Only True Dreamer.

Underappreciated classic. Edward Zwick is a really underrated director, and has done some pretty powerful films. You should watch/re-watch Blood Diamond Jody, which in my opinion is his best film. Epic performances by both Leo and Djimon Hounsou. Another film with an absolutely beautiful score. I cry everytime towards the end.

I liked the movie back in the day. I think it had great shots and soundtrack. So it was beautiful to look at and listen to.
The acting was great and the story was engaging.

Those conversations cruse and wantenabe had were amazing I feel that conversation is how we stop all this war but no one wants to compromise they just want to control and concur everything it’s really talking and getting to know different cultures and people are how we actually can understand each other
