I remember watching this movie in the summer of 1986.

When Ripley appears in the Power Loader getting ready to fight the Queen, everybody in the theatre went nuts!!

Everybody was jumping, screaming, clapping, cheering and whistling!! This movie was definitely a rollercoaster ride, you had to be there to experience it!!

Those were some fun

One of the things i love about this scene is that the lifter had "weight" to it. It wasn't fast and smooth. God i miss great practical special effects like this

Lots of movies have memorable scenes in them but ripley coming out in the power loader to fight a 16 foot tall alien queen will always be one of the top three scenes in movie history to date

The fact that all of this is practical. The damn queen was a 14 foot tall, hydraulic powered animatronic puppet operated by 8 people. The hours that must have gone into this scene alone

What an amazing end to an amazing movie. I sure hope the sequel doesn’t kill everyone off off-screen.

The part when Ripley appears with the power loader and that badass quote pumps you up for anything the day brings!

So Ripley can both hang onto an Alien queen, and also pull herself up a ladder AGAINST the force of a rapid decompression into a vacuum. She's a goddamn superhero.

CGI is never better than practical, no matter how expensive movies get.

Funny that one of the best final boss moments is between mothers. I love it!

the sounds are so loud and sharp, and the lack of soundtrack for most of it allows that to be emphasized, and these sounds really made this far more riveting then the visuals alone could've achieved -- because although the visuals quality is not even close to today's levels of smoothness, this scene is as good today as it was when i first saw it, I still love it. Anyway, J cameron's one of the greatest, i think it's fair to say he out-did the original, which, back then, must've really taken quite the investment by him to do.

Just like t2, it's so old, it's visual level so far removed from modern standards, and that movie is still an incredible sublime experience by any era's standards. His movies don't age. I think Spielberg's the same. Jurassic park will wow any generation that ever sees it. the scenes themselves are so well constructed and deeply thought out. The effort in the details to bring it to life is there.

Aliens should have been the last movie in the aliens franchise in my opinion. Ellen Ripley lost her daughter in her 57 year hyper sleep she deserved a happy ending
