Another tip. Always carry the key for your battery. A glitch with the computer can often be cured by removing and replacing the battery. No computer, no power! It happened to a friend of mine who passed on the knowledge.

Something that really annoys me is the really hard shifting. The gears SLAMS in and it sounds like the chain will snap every damn time :/

Nightmare is when I'm carrying my bike in 3 pieces down the hill. Most common for me is rear Derailer problems.

Why not use one of those little plastic inserts that keep the calipers apart when transporting the bike with the front wheel removed. Then you won't have the problem with them closing.
