Curious to hear your thoughts on this change! Personally, I'm a big fan

Finally, selling on eBay has become next to impossible with all the scammers

Biggest problem is Ebay gets a cut, force you to give Paypal a cut then Uncle Sam gets a cut and you get very little. If you have a complaint against a large volume seller Ebay will not listen.

It used to be called “Immediate Payment Required”

I've had so many unpaid items on EBAY that I quit selling there. If they make people pay, it's a whole different platform.

As a Ebay seller of 18 years. One thing I have learned is Ebay seems to always botch things. They change things that are not broken and usually make it worse. Hopefully this new change will be error free.

I’m a buyer and seller. As a seller, I love it. As a buyer, I love it too.
Here’s why.
1. I usually pay immediately for my item anyways, but now it forces the seller to get my item out quicker as well. I want my stuff lol
As a seller, I don’t have to worry about the BS and I get immediate payment. It’s a win win!

I use a Fixed Price and screw the Offer. It keeps the Scammers at BAY. :)

Apparently this is a seller side setting that can be turned off...basically eBay turned it on for all sellers - so its causing some confusion. I think Im going to turn it off - since I don't have issues with no-payers.

As someone who has had multiple buyers never pay for items that they bid on I love this change.

Both platforms suck. Fees are high, and if you sell an item(s) thats worth over $600 dollars now you need to file a 1099-K form with the federal government where before it was like 20k.

Taxes on a small micro transaction plus seller fees, may as well give your item away for free....

CASH IS KING!

People who dick around with promises of money should be booted from society. If you make an offer, you'd better be committed to handing over the cash. Period. Anything else is WITHOUT HONOR.

I agree. Anytime If I make an offer for something, whether it's on eBay or anywhere else, and the buyer accepts it, I consider it to be a binding contract.

As someone who's sold a thing or 2 on reverb, I'm for it! I've been "offer ghosted" several times, even when responding immediately. So annoying, or they message me asking to make the transaction outside of reverb. Nope.

Huh... I'm in Germany and eBay offers here have been binding for as long as I can remember. Also there are absolutely no private seller fees at all.... there used to be some, but they got rid of that.

Reverb suxx for sellers and buyers since Etsy.

Ebay's changes have never favored the sellers, and it's the sellers who pay all the fees. Makes sense, right? No....

A great change. A few times selling guitars I’ve had messages saying “I bid on multiple guitars and won so I can’t buy your guitar” type messages. As a buyer I always treated it like an irl auction, if I bid I’m committing to buy. This change is how they should have set it up from the start.
