Doesn’t it feel good (mentally) when the house is full of new groceries when you first get home and put them all away?!

I find I sleep better on nights that I come home from grocery shopping earlier that day.

{I think it’s the relief from stress about trying to remember what to get?}

I always feel good the evening after I grocery shop. Such a relief (mentally!). Feels good.

I was wondering where you were going to put all that load of groceries. That is the worse part for me putting it away when I get home. I am worn out till I get home and I only shop for me. Wait till you are older, you will know what I mean. 😉 I wish I still had some of your energy. I did have it in younger days. I am still grateful that I am still able to go do my own shopping and today was the first I have been out in almost 2 1/2 months due to Covid19. Do you ever bake bread much anymore? (In bread pans in the oven or in bread machines??)

When I was a kid growing up, there was a family that lived down the street on our block that had 12(!) kids.

One day a week, the mom would bake about 12 loaves of HOMEMADE bread, to have sandwich bread for the kids for school lunches. (HAND MIXED & HAND KNEADED!!)

Up until then, I didn’t even know that you could actually BAKE bread at home! (It had never even OCCURRED to me!!)

One day she gave me a WHOLE loaf (of white bread!) 🍞👃😑💋 to take home to my family!! It was just me and my mom {and maybe my brother, I think, back then(?), or maybe my brother was already away at college?} My dad died when I was 10, (of heart disease), so I know this happened sometime after that.

Anyway, I felt that her giving me a WHOLE loaf was generous of her, considering how many people she cooked for daily, & HOW MUCH WORK it took for her to make it!! {Our family was MINUSCULE/ TINY in comparison of hers!!}
