I wanted to preach when i was a kid, they had a little thing where a bunch of kids got to sign up to preach a sermon, and all of them got picked except for me. I guess i wasnt "chruch boy" enough. I left the church shortly afterwards. Permanently. They didnt care about me and my journey of getting closer to Christ. All they cared about was their image as a church. I went for years and years too. Its not like i was a stranger to them. Needless to say, my wanting to preach left me feeling rejected and unwanted. Christians are really something. Always high and mighty until its convenient for them not to be.

Its hard to reverse this damage. And the fact that Christians seem exactly the same as they were 15 years ago doesnt help.

Ive tried to rejoin other churches but the problem with all of them is they all feel like cults, and im an outsider to them.

The only thing i learned from chruch is how to get finessed for money so that the pastor can have a nice house and a nice car and only work for 2 days a week. Must be nice.

I’ve seen a great departure from scripture in Christianity!

So have many others.. I’ve had many deep questions on my mind lately.

How can I truly know if I am following Christ, if the interpretation belongs to the man down the street or the next city over?
Why so many churches?
Why is every Christian church also a thinly held business?

Is the essential beliefs we all agree on yet the non essentials actually how Jesus designed things?

Are we as a body actually one Faith, one Lord and one Baptism?

My mind is stirring.
