The Vita is so underrated. I would love Sony to give it another go especially with the success of the Steam deck and Switch

Vita is better now than it was in 2014. The dreamcast of handhelds. There's never been a better time to jump in. It makes me want to get into game development because of how open the platform is.

I bought my Vita about 5 years ago and installed CFW immediately, so it's good to see that I can go get another one in a colour I like more and have the process be less tedious. Playing Android games on the Vita has also been around for a while, most notably with GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City, both of which I replayed on the Vita with no real issue. Still my favourite console of all time, even if the Switch is more current.

Vita+PSP+PS1 games make Vita almost untouchable. Such a great console. Hopefully Sony will make another one in the future

In my opinion the vita has a very good size, can throw it in the pocket and won't stick out like the switch lite and the battery life on 2k vita's is awesome.

I wish we had more Nintendo switch competition. I feel like competition from the vita gave Nintendo the incentive to innovate in its UI and other quirks for the system. Something I believe the switch needs. As it stands currently, I would be happy to just see custom/different themes for the home screen.

The adrenaline app for psp is my go to definitely. I really like using the vita to play gba games as well. There’s such an insane library on the vita once hacked it’s honestly incredible

The Vita is fantastic with homebrew. I really wish we could get more developers working on the PSP upscaler, though. There's a $2000 bounty on it right now.

I couldn't be happier to see the Vita get the comeback it deserves. I feel like over time at this point, devs are gonna rise and do some nutty stuff with this holy grail


Still have my AC Liberation vita since 2012, it's gross realizing how much time has passed. This thing was so ahead of the times I love switching from psp, to gba, to vita games in one session the oled is god tier

I never thought the old way to mod the Vita was that difficult. Honestly was one of the easier hacks I’ve done. The fact that they’ve made it easier is crazy to me.

I've done this, Pro tip: if you find a good deal on a Japanese version of the Vita you can pull the trigger because after homebrew you can change the buttons back to the English version and it's no different than one bought in America for example. I got one brand new in box for less than $100 a year or 2 ago. I'll be honest though, I only ever played PSP and PS1 games on it because I don't really like most of the Vita collection.

And Ps Vita 1000 now doesn't even need Sony's proprietary memory card for whole setup, you can easily create internal partition

I bought my vita almost 5 years ago now for an insane deal at the time, perfect condition (think the sellers were desparate unfortunately) but I impulse bought it before realizing jailbreaking it would be near impossible. Back then you had to purchase a game for a workaround and it just never happened for me. Good to know people have figured it out can't wait to dust mine off and finally homebrew it :)

The Vita was and is an amazing handheld. It could have been even better if Sony didn't abandon it after just over 1 year after launch.

I believe if the Vita launched with non proprietary storage it would have done extremely well. Having to pay $60 to $100 at launch just for their memory card was horrible.

I still enjoy my Vita. Custom firmware, Vita2SD with a 256 micro sd card and an 8gb vita memory card. Loaded it with all the vita games I like and its great as a PSP. I have the original model with the Oled.

Man, they never should have stoped making portable consoles. The vita is amazing, I loved mine, it's a beast, they did stuff that just know are getting popular. Sadly I don't have one anymore and it's very expensive now in my country. Nice video.

I did the online process with no PC recently and holy cow it was mind blowing even the SD2Vita process got done through the vita browser no PC needed
