I am horrible at freestyle and butterfly kick but am very natural at breaststroke kick, always looking to improve my freestyle and butterfly kicking. So thanks for this video! Found it very helpful

I’m a natural breaststroker so only my frog kick feels fast. I have to work extra hard to move fast doing free or fly kick. Like anything, if you stick with it, you’ll see progress! Happy swimming :) 🐸

I'm a freestyler but my kicking is always so weak that even my juniors can easily surpass me. The thing is, no matter how hard I try to strengthen my kick, I never be able to meet my coach expectation. I always love pulling a LOT more than kicking just because of that reason. I'll try some of your technique to see if it will make me kick stronger and faster

I’ve had a hip replacement and pulled for years. My legs are now naturally inclined to be close together like there’s a pull buoy even when there isn’t. Relearning everything!

Very smart analysis — See Roland Schumann— fast kicker-
For training, I like sprint kicking for 50 very fast kicks without a kick board … rest 30 sec then repeats- interval training

I tell swimmers that the breaststroke kick is a 2 motion movement- bring heals up then push down at the last second point toes—
I like a straight arm recovery for sprinting
… I am older and do not have fast twitch muscles so my sprints are not fast…
I try to move my arms as fast as I can in a 50 free short course yards, but have trouble incorporating a strong fast flutter kick

Fares, is there a video on combining strokes with kicks in freestyle? like, how do I time my kicks with my strokes, if at all?

I really want to learn how to swim properly as swimming is really the only sport that I enjoy, unfortunately in my country I can’t find any good swimming coach, your tips are very helpful but when I’m in the water I’m not sure if I’m doing it right, I think I still need someone to watch me or take a video of me while I’m swimming so I can evaluate myself.
Would you have any advice for me ?

it's so counterintuitive! kick less during real swim, but swim training is all about kicking as much as we can to make the kicks good! OMG!

Really helpful thank you. I prefer freestyle but on watching another of your videos recently have improved my breaststroke. I’ve never learned butterfly so this is on my list to do, mainly for the dolphin kick when pushing off from walls.

I’m trying to get onto a swim team this year. I was going to last year but then covid hit. I think I need to improve on my dolphin kick i’m slowly getting there 😌. Love your content this really helps a lot. Keep swimming guys⚡️

Thanks for the video. I’ve been swimming about 7 weeks but find that my feet hurt after swimming because of the pointing the toes. I’ve got foot issues and wonder if there are exercises to strengthen the feet and prevent tendonitis.

So today, after watching your great video (anyway, as always) i know what to do on the training :) I'll see how these excercises work but I've to admit that I've never realised how hard the swimming is.

Speed question: I (think) I have great form- at least told by lifeguards and fellow swimmers at the pool. Watching this video, my kick is right. Other videos, my pull is right. I’ve been told I have an excellent smooth stroke. But, I AM SO My average length time is 32-36 seconds. It’s embarrassing. However, I can swim a LONG time. 2500 yards nonstop, no breaks. Any suggestions?

My breaststroke kick is fire, but my freestlyle and dolphin is horrendous. People in levels way below me can kick faster!
