Liz Cheney, Trump’s biggest Republican critic, loses Wyoming seat

One of former US President Donald Trump's most prominent Republican adversaries has lost her re-election bid in the primaries in the state of Wyoming. Cheney has been instrumental in leading a congressional investigation into the 2021 attack on the Capitol. She lost to a Trump-backed candidate, who will contest this year's mid-term elections.
