The Gospel that saves:

God is the creator of all things. His invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. He is Holy, meaning He is set apart and perfect in every way. We have rebelled against this holy and perfect God. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God who has given us every good gift we’ve ever had. The wages of sin (meaning the payment due for our sin) is death. Sin has separated us from God. Apart from Christ our deserved destiny is a very real place called hell with torment and weeping and gnashing of teeth. How do we, rebellious sinners, become reconciled with this perfect God? The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus. God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Jesus Christ, truly God and truly man, was born to a virgin, lived a perfect and sinless life that we could never live (and have not lived) and died on the cross, bearing our sins and God’s wrath for those who will believe in Him. He died on the cross, was buried, and rose on the 3rd day and is now seated at the right hand of God making intercession for those who believe in Him. He is the one and only mediator between God and man, and there is no other name given among men by which we must be saved. We are saved by having faith in Christ alone (not our own good works or anything else) to save us, and by turning from our sins (repentance) and to the true and living God. If you have any questions, please message me. This is all that really matters!

Christ is the Savior!

Christianity and veganism don't have to be mutually exclusive. There are many Christian vegans out there and there's really nothing wrong with that.

I've been vegan for 27 years since 1997 and I still am. For me it was/is about the animals, nothing spiritual. And if I'm honest, I never even liked the taste of meat growing up as a child. I don't attach any biblical meaning as to why I'm vegan. I know many Christians who eat animals and they are my brothers and sisters in Christ, so I do not judge them at all. In fact, I don't judge anyone based on their dietary choices. That's not biblical. What is troublesome lately for me are (ironically) the vegans. It was one thing when I was in the new age, nobody paid much attention to me being vegan. Now that I'm a born-again Christian (and conservative), I am getting attacked by vegans screaming that Jesus was a vegan (I know He wasn't), that He and I think they claim John the Baptist too were Essenes (I know this is also incorrect) and that if I'm not twisting/perverting Scripture, I'm part of the problem. Seriously. They even had a documentary (or rather mockumentary) blaspheming the crucifixion (claiming that Jesus died on the cross because he "freed" the animals). It's sad to see these well intentioned (but then again, the road to hell is paved with good intentions) but utterly angry and misinformed activists attacking not only those who eat animals, but other vegans too. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but I now see much of veganism as a cult. And yes, whether vegan or not, we should be good stewards of all of God's creation, but do so in a way that is kind and charitable to our fellow humans.

Gods intention for humans was the Garden of Eden. I will stick to that and live a beautiful cruelty free life as a Vegan with my husband and children as I have for over thirty years.
It really isnt hard at all. And we are rewarded with good health and conscience. No excuses. Too easy.

I am not new age and I am a vegan/vegetarian because it seams to help my COPD 🥰 also as a child I saw a chicken slaughtered and it walked around without a head. I was at a lot of animal by my relatives and by their screams I knew they were scared . I am NOT new age.

I'm a fairly conservative reformed Christian and I went began cause meat eggs and dairy stated causes serious health issues in my early 50's. I know thats the cause because when I switched to an exclusive "whole food plant based diet" all the sickness disappeared. So you can eat a vegan diet and be Christian. Remember, God created the world to eat a vegan diet in the garden and will return the world eventually to that status.
But "Veganism" is like religion to those who don't know Jesus yet.

I recently switched to a local humane meat shop. My hair had been thinning and now it's growing back.

30 years of vegan vegetarian here. I thought I was poisoned and I was right sever joint issues now I know it was oxalate poisoning. Arthoritic pain and my chest and heart pain as well as horrible hip pain. Sally k Norton talks about it. I’m vegetarian now and it’s much better with butter and eggs! Look into it if you have pain

Plant based for the animals and that God created them for our companionship not consumption. I pray we go back to that after Christ’s return.

I’m still vegetarian and it’s the best diet for me. It wasn’t a spiritual decision either. 😊

This was a great conversation! I was vegetarian/ vegan/ raw/ fruitarian for almost 30 years. It was tough to leave the legalism I was in following this lifestyle, but thankfully the Lord showed me I was in bondage🙌🏽🙏🏽

Thank you. Many Christian’s are VERY concerned for the animals. The Bible does tell us to have mercy on them and care for them. I am also ex vegetarian, but very careful.

I have been vegan 19 years and love Jesus. This has to do with caring for animals. Compassion comes from God. To me, loving animals and knowing that they feel pain and suffer has nothing to do with new age..it has to do with caring for God's creatures. Please don't preach that veganism is New Age. All the vegans I know do it for the animals, not for a "higher vibe." There is no such thing as humane slaughter. To me this entire video really misses the mark.

It is utterly amazing how complicated you both have made this issue. We became vegetarians 50 years ago because we simply could not afford meat. We quickly realized that we no longer even wanted meat, that we preferred vegetables and bean stews etc. Over the years our reasons for maintaining this diet have changed, that reason now being the difference between digestive tracks. The tracks of carnivores is short and straight to enable meat to pass through their system quickly and not rot. The tracks of plant eaters, cows and humans etc, is long and twisted, because there is no danger of anything rotting. Also the veg/vegan diet is healthier, requires less land and therefore feeds more people, and on and on. I am 76 now and look 50. I have no doctor and am rarely sick, so this way of eating is definitely for me. None of the complexity presented in this YouTube.

I'm actually curious about how on earth you guys can advocate for killing animals. I'm not a vegan myself, but I also don't think that you can use the Bible to say that everyone should eat animals or god will be angry with them.

That's what I'm assuming you're arguing for here. And I'm pretty interested to see what scriptures you can use to defend that point.

I appreciated this conversation so much! I was a very long time vegetarian, then vegan (vegetarian 10 years, then vegan for over 20 years). I was very passionate about my beliefs, and wanting to stop animal cruelty. It was never a burden for me to not eat animal products, because I did it out of love.

However, my health did suffer over the years, even though I was careful about trying to get all my necessary nutrients. I rationalized it and made excuses, not wanting to admit my diet was making me ill.

It was actually becoming a believer in Christ in 2021 that for the very first time made me begin to question my veganism. Once I started studying the Bible, and understanding what Jesus taught and the way he and the disciples lived, I realized I was hurting myself with my diet unnecessarily! I also realized, and this was hard to admit, that veganism had become an identity and an idol for me. I never realized that before, until God showed me.
It was hard to let that identity go, "I am vegan". But knowing my TRUE identity is in Christ, is what enabled me to let go of that false identity and idol.

My very first animal product was 2 fried eggs! The next was organic goat yogurt. I thought I would cry, and possibly throw up from eating them, but interestingly I didn't. I trusted God completely, and I knew I was doing the right thing. My digestion was fine, no problems at all, and I didn't cry!

It's now 3 years later, and I am feeling much better physically, and even emotionally and spiritually. I of course still care deeply about animals, and I buy my animal products as responsibly as I possibly can (availability, financially, etc).

I thank God for saving me, and for teaching me my true identity in His Son, Jesus!

Thanks for this teaching Jac and Doreen. It was very informative. I've never been vegan but I can relate to the cruelty in the major meat animal producers. I've seen it firsthand in chickens. I had relatives who raised them for meat and eggs. They weren't cage-raised. They were raised in chicken houses that were so overcrowded that it was cruel. Many died before reaching the age that the big chicken processors would pick them up. I've seen many videos of how other animals are raised in pens without room to move. It's disgusting!

I am not religious, i was brought up catholic but it never sticked with me....
As a former US army airborne infantryman who has been deployed into combat, who was also medically discharge because of PTSD and a lower back injury as i was a machine gunner....
Went through some dark personal times after that dealing with drugs, alcohol, depression, etc...
I have been on a plant based diet for 11+ years and all i can say about it is that it has turned my life for the better.
Humans can thrive on a plant based diet.
All these talks i keep seeing of EX Vegans.... Sorry but it all sounds like weak minded people that lack empathy, who care more about what people think of them then to really understand what veganism is about....
it's not a diet so stop calling it a diet... it's not, it has nothing to do with the environment or your personal health...

I was wondering, how much/often do you think veganism/rawism is just effectively part of an eating disorder? I definitely was vegan as part of an ED as a teenager, as it meant I could have an excuse to refuse a lot of foods or to create restrictive rules around foods. I've known many other people with an ED who were vegan or vegetarian. These particular individuals will say their reason is 'for the animals ' when it's not.
