Hello Hello. Today we take a quick dive into the life of “Prinny” also known as King George IV of the United Kingdom. This one took longer to put together than I expected, and this was mainly due to the fact that there is much more to George’s story than one may realize. His time as king may have been relatively short, but his life as a whole was very eventful, especially as he aged. He was/is certainly not a popular or well-remembered figure by any stretch of the mind and I don’t expect this particular video to gain as much traction as some of the other more well-known English/British monarchs, but his story certainly deserves to be told. Nevertheless, I hope I was able to reasonably do his story justice. As always, if I catch any errors, or if any are brought to my attention, I will add them to the errors and corrections section of the video description. Thank you all for your interest in the video/channel, I hope I can continue to make reasonable content in the future. I look forward to finishing up this series (hopefully in the coming year) and getting to work on new material outside the realm of the English monarchy. But until then, onward and upward. Cheers.

It was extremely refreshing to hear a positive side of the Prince Regent/ King George 4th. Again thanks.

Again, an excellent documentary on George IV. You’re the only one who successfully put a positive light on him. Great commentary

Great video. So, the line went from George III, to George IV, to William IV, to Queen Victoria. As an American, I knew about George III, was vaguely aware of George IV as Regent, and Victoria but had not been clear on who came before Victoria. Thanks for clearing that up.

Another excellent documentary as always, I truly love the small details in your videos that tend to be generally obscure like George's love for animals in this case. I also got to admit now that we're more than halfway through the Hanoverian monarchs I find myself starting to dread the end of this so excellent series of yours but at the same eagerly waiting for what might be in store next. Cheers.

Another interesting story. I almost felt sad for him at the end. He'd never been truly loved so didn't know how to show love & true affection except to children & animals because that came naturally.

If you get to the end of all the monarchs a complementary mini series on all the consorts would be very interesting.

The lives of George VI’s sisters and their escape from the ‘nunnery’ that they called their upbringing is very interesting as well.

With most of the monarchs of ww1 being descendants of queen victoria I wonder how different things would have been had princess charlotte survived
