He had an old YouTube account called “SuperMarioLogan” where he would post Mario videos. Nintendo didn’t like this and said, “Hey, he’s using OUR characters!” But instead of suing him, they sent a cease and desist.

After the cease and desist, he’s still on YouTube posting videos on a new channel called “SML”. He uses his own characters now.

Your still able to download yuzu, almost all its versions are archived, and most firmware and key sites still offer stuff for yuzu. Its just the servers were shut down for both citra and Yuzu, and updates ceased

Well gary bowser wasn't sued for creating mod chips he was arrested for piracy and distribution of copyrighted material although Nintendo would have loved it if they could have sued him for the mod chips
