Free people working in voluntary cooperation with one another is always better than government-enforced coercion.

I have said this, many times and for a long time, to people who advocate for higher taxes to "help" the poor:
We all have needy and poor family members, neighbors, etc. Isn't better if we help them directly instead of sending our money to Washington where is going to be dissipated on the many layers of bureaucracies and useless, wasteful, government programs?

Voluntaryism is a weird word. Voluntarism is already used elsewhere. Consentism seems more intuitively understood but sounds clunky.
