One Costco product is getting lots of attention. It's called the ReadyWise emergency food supply. However, shoppers are calling it the doomsday bucket. A video from cookbook author Jeffrey Eisner discovering the buckets is going viral. The bucket is packed with 150 servings and it costs $62. Eisner decided to make the pasta Alfredo. Inside Edition Producer Emma Keady gave the doomsday dish a try.

Forget the apocalypse. For that price that can just be groceries for the month.

Me and my husband bought that several years ago, hes a prepper so he wanted it for emergencies. It helped a lot later when were struggling with bills for a couple weeks during the pandemic and it kept us fed until payday. 10/10 would and probly will buy again.

$63 for 134 meals! Wow. This would be great for feeding unhoused kids or anyone struggling with low income.

The video said 150 servings, but the bucket says 132. At $63, that comes out to $0.47 a serving. IF each packet is 1 serving, that's pretty good. A lot of mouths can be fed for this.

To be fair, it doesn't say doomsday kit anywhere

This is perfect for calamity-hit scenarios like earthquakes and typhoons. Imagine that. And because it has a very long shelf-life, it's worry free from spoilage.

Always read the instructions before cooking.

Get your doomsday buckets before Tuesday, November 5th. While they’re still cheap.😂

In that tiny bucket..? Not nearly enough to help an actual doomsday situation.
But fun for extended camping trips.

We’ve got pallets off them. I just bought 6 of them for $35 at an Estate sale also.

When we were working overseas we lived through civil unrest. Food was the first thing to run out. Believe me, when there's no food around and you're hungry, even what's in that bucket will seem like a godsend.

It seems to me this is cheaper than all the groceries it would take to make all this stuff. I’d buy a bucket a month 😂😂😂

0:12 Ah yes, he was the first person to discover them. Why not get a survival expert instead of a tiktok cook. Also 1:26

The bucket literally says 132 servings in big white letters on the front. Does saying 150 sound better or more dramatic? Why even lie about something like that?

If if doomsday, there probably won't be any pots and pans to cook with on a stove with utensils
