In this video, we’re going to look into the possibility of the Liberal Democrats winning more seats than the Conservatives - specifically whether it could happen and, if it did, what it would mean for both the Tories and the Lib Dems.

The rate the Tories are going Count Binface poses a threat.

If this happens, this would be the biggest fall off in history. Going from a major majority in parliament to not even be the opposition would be pretty funny 😂

If there's any justice in this world the Tories won't form the offical opposition.

A Lib Dem opposition might actually mean that government is functional and can undo all of the tories mess.

As a Labour voter, this is my key takeaway from this video;

Labour have already won the election and they will likely have a huge majority.

The next most important thing for voters is to establish a sensible party in opposition. A party with a very large majority will require an opposition which will ask sensible and reasonable questions and will hold them to account.

The opposition should not be the Tory party as they are no longer even close to being a reasonable and sensible party.

Get out there and vote and vote tactically if needed.

I hope the LibDems win so the opposition is atleast somewhat decent as human beings, I’m sick of politics being reduced to a popularity contest in which however insults their opponent “the best” is given the steering wheel to a country.

The LibDems, for the most part, have run a very positive and well meaning campaign.

Great video, The first $100, 000 invested was amazing. But when you hit $300, 000 it’s like smashing the glass ceiling! I cried.

It’s no more than the Tories deserve to not even be the official opposition. Get only two questions at PMQs get less money, and even less media coverage.

Nigel Farage: "Reform will wipe out and replace the Tories."
Ed Davey: "Thanks Nigel for helping Lib Dems replace the Tories, love you!"

As a LD Cllr & campaigner, I would absolutely love that to be the case. However, we'd be extremely happy hitting around 50 odd. The difficulty we have, is that for years we tried to get a decent vote share (20 odd percent in the 00s) but it was hard to translate that to seats under FPTP.

This time, we've got the strategy right, by targeting 60 seats, which on a good night, we win the lot. However, that will likely leave us polling nationally on around 10 - 12%.

The interesting thing, is that we finished 2nd in 90 odd seats in 2019. On a terrible night for the Tories, we may get very close or surprisingly gain some of the 30 seats we haven't targeted. At the very least, it leaves us in a brilliant position for the following GE.

I'll leave with this. Let the Tories and Grifters UK split each others vote for all eternity and for goodness sake, VOTE TACTICALLY.

Labour in power with Lib dems opposition and Nigel Farage not winning his seat would be the best scenario

As an outsider, American, watching these videos on British politics is fascinating. Especially how unbiased these videos are. I went to Journalism school. We were taught to be unbiased. But you can't find that in American TV. So this is just really interesting.

I hope the Liberal Democrats do come second. It'll mean we're on our way to rejoining the EU

Remember to vote tactically to help this happen - in some seats this will mean voting Labour to help the Lib Dems more, where it’s a close Labour-Tory seat. Labour are going to win a landslide anyway and it doesn’t really meaningfully matter by how much - the more important goal is to reduce the Tories to as few seats as possible to have the Lib Dems second nationally and the official opposition. Lookup ‘Stop The Tories dot vote’ for suggested anti Tory tactical voting recommendations.

The Electoral Calculus MRP also had a second model taking into account tactical voting, which boosted the Lib Dems to 59, and brought Tories to 66, just 7 seats apart.

Honestly I didn’t think much of the Lib Dem’s but I have to say of all the plans I think theirs is the best and now support them.
